3 Reasons Why You Should Wear a Tie

If you ask any of your male counterparts why they choose not to wear a tie, you will get an endless slew of different answers. The consistencies will be themed around; they want to feel comfortable. Ties are too constricted, it's traditional, or other rhetoric ideas.

So, Why Wear a Tie?

1 Confidence

Ties make you look influential, they signal capability and aptitude when people see you. All of us operate on perceptions, we consciously or subconsciously place people into boxes for us to make sense of the world. If you are wearing a tie, people will assume you own certain qualities and abilities that they may not have.

2 Career

Ties will eternally signify professionalism. If you work in a casual office space, wearing a tie will only enhance your overall presentation. It shows your peers and management the amount of effort you are willing to put into what you choose to wear. Management may interpret this presentation, equating your level of reliability.

3 Looking Good

This should be your number one reason for wearing a tie. When you look good, you feel good, but being sharply dressed will propel you to remarkable heights. Whether we like it or not people who dress well are often catered to more–that's a fact of life.

Neckties have always and more than likely will always symbolize honor, order, or a form of nobility. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter to anyone else how you dressed, but it will mean a great deal to you. I love that I feel confident, secure, and stylish. I am grateful that wearing a tie is a little bit of individualism in the sea of bland.
